Chinese vice president arrives in Auckland for New Zealand visit

AUCKLAND, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping arrived in Auckland, the largest city of New Zealand, on Thursday morning, kicking start a three-day official visit to the country.

Greeting Xi at the international airport were New Zealand Minister of Maori Affairs Pita R. Sharples and Chinese Ambassador to New Zealand Zhang Limin.

New Zealand is the third leg of Xi's four-nation tour, which will also take him to Australia.
