Consular District

The Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Auckland was officially opened in June 1992, in accordance with the Agreement on the Establishment of Consulate Generals and the Memorandum on the Consulate Districts of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Auckland and that of New Zealand in Shanghai which were signed on 9 May 1991 and 8 June 1992 respectively by the governments of the People's Republic of China and New Zealand. The districts of the Consulate General of the PRC in Auckland covers the Auckland Region, Waikato Region and Northland Region.
