The "Hunger Strike" mounted by Falungong activists outside the Chinese Consulate office is a show straightly directed by their master Li Hongzhi from the U.S. Their story of Falungong practitioners being persecuted in China is sheer fabrication and their purpose is to smear the Chinese government that has banned Falungong in the interest of the country and the people of China.
We've checked with department concerned at home. The story that 130 Falungong practitioners in Masanjia Rehabilitation Center, Liaoning province have mounted a "hunger strike" as a result of being illegally over- detained is concocted story. The legal rights of all Falungong practitioners in this center have been guaranteed. Most of them have been discharged when or before their term expires (usually 1-3 years). Only a small minority who behaved badly and disrupted the normal rehabilitation order have been made to stay longer in accordance with relative regulations. At present, the Masanjia Rehabilitation Center is in stable and good order.
