Consulate General held receptions for the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China

 On the evenings of Sept. 27 and 28 2001, Mr. Zhao Xiangling, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Auckland held receptions celebrating the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Nearly three hundred distinguished guests, friends and representatives from local political, educational and business fields, Consular Corps, unofficial organizations and Chinese Communities joined the celebration. Among them are Hon Christine Fletcher Mayor of Auckland City, Mr. Philip Warren Chairman of Auckland Region, MPs Helen Duncan and Richard Worth, Mr. Mike Williams President of Labor Party and Mr. David Lange former Prime Minister.
